Are you a new client at Central City Physiotherapy?
Welcome!
If you’re coming in for the first time, we’d like you to know exactly what to expect; we want you to feel comfortable and confident with your choice. At Central City Physio, you’ll find a friendly and professional atmosphere that puts you at ease from the moment you walk in the door. We strive to provide excellent customer service, and your treatment starts as soon as you arrive!
Before Your First Visit
Thank you for making a booking at our Perth CBD Clinic! You’re now on your way to better health.
Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive an email approximately 15 minutes later containing all of your booking details and an Initial Client Form. Please make sure this is filled out prior to attending your first appointment. Alternatively, please arrive to the clinic at least 10 minutes early to allow this form to be completed in time. It will provide your clinician with valuable information regarding your health and medical history.
To Prepare for Your First Visit
We advise you to wear comfortable clothing where possible during your first appointment. Please bring any medical records, scans or imaging related to your current health issue. If you’ve had recent imaging but don’t have access to copies of the reports, let our reception team know at the time of booking and we can try to make arrangements to obtain your records from your healthcare provider.
Your Initial Visit
Your first visit will take approximately 40 minutes. You’ll receive an extensive assessment with one of our experienced Physiotherapists, which will include:
- A consultation
- A detailed health history
- Musculoskeletal or Vestibular testing
This visit will also include your first Physiotherapy treatment, which could include soft tissue therapy, dry needling, taping, and assisted stretching.
During this initial time together, our goal is for you to have a clear understanding as to what the source of your concern is, and what can be done to improve it. We will recommend a customised care plan that will help you reach and maintain the outcome you desire.
Subsequent Visits
A follow-up appointment with your initial Physiotherapist about the same concern will be a 20 minutes “Standard” or 40 minutes “Extended” appointment. If you’re not sure which type to book, give our reception team a call, or if booking online, select an Extended and note “Unsure if require 20 or 40 minutes.” When in doubt, it is always best to allow more time with your clinician.
If you have a different concern arise that you would like one of our Physiotherapists to help you with, we call this a “New Episode”. You can book a 40 minute appointment of the same name which will give your clinician time to assess this new pain or injury and work on a bespoke treatment plan for you.
